Yenenga Sneakers - Umòja
The "Gangla Pelga", decorated with its blue and black stripes, is a traditional material of the Mossi Ethnicity of Burkina. Legend has it that this fabric would be good luck. It accompanies the child throughout his life from birth.
The Gangla Pelga used for this model is woven by women from the Adaja weaving center. This center was created in the 1970s by Elisabeth Delma to facilitate the professional integration of the most vulnerable women and victim of a violent patriarchy.
Our Yenenga sneakers are also made from cork, a real substitute for certain petroleum derivatives and animal leather. Indeed, cork is a biodegradable material impermeable and gentle for the environment.
Yenenga sneakers are ideal for an urban look, casual and discreet.
