Biton Sneakers - Umòja
The production of our Biton model is mainly done with Bogolan, a traditional painting and dyeing technique practiced in West Africa.
Bogolan fabric is hand crafted using 100% natural products such as clay, bark and tree leaves and cotton.
The colors and patterns of the Bogolan tell mythical poems of yesteryear West Africa. It is an invitation to discover the Dogon culture with its traditional rites and myths.
Our Biton sneakers are also made from cork, a true substitute for certain petroleum derivatives and animal leather. Indeed, cork is a biodegradable material impermeable and gentle for the environment.
